Training Future Vet Medics from the Marshall Islands

We were recently thrilled to announce the arrival of very precious cargo from Majuro, Marshall Islands to our clinic in Honolulu! For the next two weeks, our team will be training these future 'vet medics' in basic animal care and first aid. This training will empower them to help pets in the Marshall Islands, where there currently isn't a veterinarian in the entire country.

Many countries around the world lack veterinary services, yet have pets and communities in need. To address this, our team has designed a comprehensive training program covering animal anatomy, physiology, diseases, basic anesthesia, first aid, and vaccinations. Additionally, the vet medics will learn about zoonosis, emerging diseases, antimicrobial resistance, food safety, and food animal medicine.

This is our second year hosting a team from the Marshall Islands, and we are honored by their trust in our partnership. Mahalo to RMI Love Animals for making this possible!
